Southern New England District Academy

Each summer, SNED offers the Training Academy, a 4-day training event for Discovery, Adventure, and Expedition Ranger age groups. We offer a wide range of camps including survival, backpacking, and several levels of leadership training. All camps are held at the Farm, in Gardner Masssachusetts with the exception of the JTT, which travels off camp. 2008 Applications will be available soon. Pre-Academy Camps
	Discovery Training Camp - for boys who have completed the 5th grade.
	Adventure Training Camp - for boys who have completed the 6th grade.

Academy Camps
	Junior Training Camp - for boys who have completed the 7th grade and earned at least the Bowie Knife award.
	Advanced Junior Training Camp - for boys who have completed the 8th grade and completed the JTC
	Junior Canoe Expedition - for boys who have completed the 9th grade and completed the AJTC
	Junior Training Trails - for boys who have completed the 8th grade and completed the AJTC
	Junior Survival Camp - for boys who have completed at least 4 Academy Camps (JTC, AJTC, JEC, JTT, WJTC, SCG#2) (see note)

Academy Camps (held every 2 years)
	Security / Color Guard Camp - for mature boys at least 9 years old.

Academy Camps (endorsed by SNED but held in other districts)
	Winter Junior Training Camp - refer to sponsoring district for requirements.

Note: WJTC is not currently offered in SNED but is available in other districts. SCG#2 refers to the second year of Security/Color Guard Camp. Contact our Training Coordinator or the Academy Director for details.
